Achenes 1.8–2 mm long, 10-ribbed, pubescent; outer pappus of half-connate scales 0.1–0.2 mm long, inner pappus of many deciduous bristles 5–6.5 mm long, slightly flattened.

Distribution

N1, 2; ?C1 not known elsewhere. Thulin & Abdi Dahir 6682 from C1, km 28 Xarardheere–Hobyo, is curiously remote from other localities, but almost certainly this species; it only differs in the short inner pappus (4 mm).

Altitude range 0–1360 m.
