Morphology Leaves
Leaves usually imparipinnate with opposite leaflets, rarely unifoliolate, petiolules swollen at both ends, lamina often pale or glaucous below, gland dots sometimes present

Ecology
Walsura pinnata is poorly known in New Guinea, and has only been collected from lowland rain forest in the Manokwari area.
Recognition
Walsura can be recognised by the imparipinnate leaves with opposite leaflets with the petiolules having swellings at both ends (appearing somewhat like Burseraceae), the pale lower surface of the leaflets and the baccate fruit.
