Perennial; caespitose. Basal innovations intravaginal. Culms erect; 10-25 cm long. Culm-internodes distally glabrous. Leaf-sheaths 1-2 cm long; glabrous on surface. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 0.5 mm long. Leaf-blades convolute; 2-5 cm long; 1 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface glabrous. Leaf-blade apex acuminate.
