- Glabrous pruinose perennial; stem erect or decumbent at the base, 0.6–2 m. high.

- Leaves petiolate, peltate or auriculate; basal leaves suborbicular, cuneate or slightly cordate at the base, margins entire; upper leaves lanceolate; petioles of median leaves 3–10 cm. long, ± terete, slightly broadened at the base.

- Inflorescence a paniculate cyme, up to 35 cm. long.
