Vegetative Multiplication Rhizomes
Rhizome erect, with clathrate dark brown subulate attenuate rhizome scales up to 4 × 0.5 mm, often with a dark central stripe and paler narrow borders.

Fronds tufted, erect to arching, firmly membranous, not proliferous.

Stipe dark brown, 1–9 cm long, usually less than 1/6 the length of the lamina, glabrous.

Lamina narrowly linear in outline, 6–23 × 1–1.5 cm, 1-pinnate, lower pinnae slightly reduced.

Pinnae in 26–32 pairs, broadly oblong to obovate, up to 8 × 5.5 mm, shortly petiolate, crenate, glabrous on both surfaces or with a few minute scales beneath.
