Ligule an eciliate membrane; 3-5 mm long. Leaf-blades involute; 1-1.3 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface scaberulous. Leaf-blade apex hardened.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences
Inflorescence a panicle. Panicle open; pyramidal; 12-18 cm long; 10-15 cm wide. Primary panicle branches spreading; whorled at most nodes; 6-8 cm long. Panicle axis smooth. Panicle branches scaberulous. Spikelets solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences Spikelets
Spikelets comprising 1 fertile florets; without rhachilla extension. Spikelets elliptic; laterally compressed; 2.5 mm long; breaking up at maturity; disarticulating below each fertile floret. Floret callus pubescent.
