Annual; caespitose. Culms 10-50 cm long. Culm-internodes distally glabrous. Leaf-sheaths glabrous on surface. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 3.5-7 mm long. Leaf-blades 3-15 cm long; 1-4 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface smooth, or scaberulous.
