Recognition
It can be recognised by spirally arranged leaves with entire margins, the solitary, bisexual flowers on pedicels which are often very warty in appearence on account of woody pustules or lenticels, and the berry-like fruits which have many seeds. The flowers are fragrant and the fruits are brown to red when mature.
