Morphology General Habit
Perennial; caespitose. Rhizomes elongated. Culms geniculately ascending; 30-65 cm long; 3 -noded. Lateral branches lacking. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 3-5 mm long. Leaf-blades 20-40 cm long; 1.5-5 mm wide; glaucous. Leaf-blade surface scabrous.
