Morphology General Habit
Perennial; caespitose. Culms erect; 8-20 cm long. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 1 mm long; truncate. Leaf-blades flat, or convolute; 2-7 cm long; 0.5-1 mm wide. Leaf-blade apex abruptly acute.

Principal lemma awn dorsal; arising 0.05 way up back of lemma; geniculate; 6-7 mm long overall; with twisted column. Rhachilla extension 2.5-3 mm long; pilose.
