Morphology General Habit
Perennial; culms solitary. Rhizomes elongated. Culms 30-60 cm long. Leaf-sheaths smooth, or scaberulous; glabrous on surface. Leaf-sheath oral hairs lacking. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 2-4 mm long. Leaf-blades erect; 10-15 cm long; 4-5 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface scabrous.
