Perennial. Stolons present. Basal innovations flabellate. Culms 20-50 cm long. Leaf-sheaths glabrous on surface. Ligule a ciliate membrane. Leaf-blades 6-12 cm long; 2-4 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface smooth, or scabrous; rough adaxially.
