Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences Spikelets
Spikelets comprising 2 fertile florets; with a barren rhachilla extension. Spikelets lanceolate, or oblong; laterally compressed; 5 mm long; breaking up at maturity; disarticulating below each fertile floret. Rhachilla internodes definite; pilose. Floret callus pilose. Floret callus hairs 1 mm long.
Fertile

Spikelets lanceolate, or oblong; laterally compressed; 5 mm long; breaking up at maturity; disarticulating below each fertile floret. Rhachilla internodes definite; pilose. Floret callus pilose. Floret callus hairs 1 mm long.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Inflorescences Bracts Glume
Glumes persistent; similar; exceeding apex of florets; similar to fertile lemma in texture; shiny. Lower glume lanceolate; 5 mm long; 1 length of upper glume; membranous; much thinner on margins; light brown; 1-keeled; 1 -veined. Lower glume primary vein scabrous. Lower glume lateral veins absent. Lower glume apex acuminate. Upper glume elliptic; 5 mm long; 1.2 length of adjacent fertile lemma; membranous; with hyaline margins; light brown; 1-keeled. Upper glume primary vein scabrous.
