Annual; caespitose. Culms erect; 30-60 cm long. Culm-internodes glandular; smooth; distally glabrous. Leaf-sheaths mostly shorter than adjacent culm internode; glandular; viscid; smooth; glabrous on surface. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaf-blades involute; 7-15 cm long; 3-6 mm wide; glandular; viscid. Leaf-blade surface glabrous. Leaf-blade margins glabrous, or ciliate; hairy at base.
