Morphology General Habit
Perennial; caespitose. Culms erect; 120 cm long. Culm-internodes distally glabrous, or pubescent. Leaf-sheaths subequal to internodes; without keel; smooth, or scaberulous. Ligule a ciliolate membrane; 2 mm long. Leaf-blades tapering towards sheath, or parallel-sided; 30-60 cm long; 5 mm wide; stiff. Leaf-blade surface glabrous. Leaf-blade apex pungent.
