Leaf-sheaths narrower than blade at the collar; keeled; smooth; glabrous on surface. Leaf-sheath oral hairs ciliate. Leaf-sheath auricles falcate. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 1-3 mm long; entire; truncate. Leaf-blades 10-25 cm long; 3-10 mm wide; glaucous. Leaf-blade surface smooth, or scabrous. Leaf-blade margins scabrous. Leaf-blade apex acuminate.
