- Annual; caespitose. Culms geniculately ascending; 20-40 cm long. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 0.3-1 mm long. Leaf-blades 1-6 cm long; 1-2.5 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface scaberulous; rough adaxially. Leaf-blade margins scaberulous.
