Leaf-sheaths as wide as blade at the collar; glabrous on surface. Ligule an eciliate membrane. Leaf-blades 15-30 cm long; 3-5 mm wide; flaccid. Leaf-blade venation distinct. Leaf-blade surface pilose; with tubercle-based hairs. Leaf-blade margins glabrous, or ciliate.
