- Leaves petiolate; blade elliptic to broadly elliptic, 7–18 × 3–10 cm, coarsely serrate with 20–30 teeth on either side, acuminate, basally cuneate and attenuate, with scattered hairs above, otherwise subglabrous apart from small hairs along veins especially beneath, with 6–8 pairs of ascending lateral veins; petiole 1.5–6 cm long
