Leaves petiolate; blades paler beneath, oblong to elliptic, 0.8–2.5 × 0.3–0.7 cm, margin sharply serrate, apex rounded, base attenuate, often asymmetric, lateral veins very prominent and thickened beneath and towards margin, pubescent with glandular and eglandular hairs, glandular-punctate beneath, with sessile glands above; petiole 1–5 mm long

Probably most closely related to E. gracilis on the basis of small flower size and annual or short-lived habit.
