Near sea level.
Note
The only collection seen from Somalia is from “Berberek” (= Berbera) and was made in the 19th century. The specimen has no flowers and the record needs confirmation. B. lanceata is similar to B. spinisepala in the deeply divided outer calyx-lobes, but differs in the dense indumentum of short, often appressed hairs.
