Much branched shrubby herb or subshrub to 1 m tall, with several stems from a woody rootstock; stems puberulent to sericeous-puberulent or finely sericeous or sparsely so (rarely with scattered capitate glands)

Leaves elliptic to obovate, largest 1.5–5 × 0.6–1.9 cm, apex rounded to truncate with a small triangular tooth, subglabrous to densely and uniformly puberulent (or denser along veins)
