- Leaves 3–5(–7)-foliolate; stipules subulate-filiform, ± 5 mm. long; petiole 8–20 mm. long, about as long as the rhachis which extends up to 7 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets; leaflets oblong-lanceolate, 2–3 times as long as wide, rounded, truncate or emarginate at the apex, up to 3 cm. long in luxuriant plants, strigose beneath, sparsely strigose or, less often, glabrous above.
