- Softly woody shrub up to 3 m. tall; stems ribbed, brownish or whitish strigulose.

- Stipules linear-lanceolate, often reflexed, up to 8 mm. long; rhachis brown strigulose, up to 14 cm. long, including a petiole of 1–3 cm., prolonged ± 5 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets; stipellae brown strigulose, ± 1.5 mm. long; petiolules ± 2 mm. long; leaflets 11–21, oblong-elliptic, apiculate, up to 25 mm. long and 14 mm. wide, finely white strigulose above, with both brown and white hairs beneath.
