- Shrublet 20–30 cm. tall, the younger branches with a dense appressed silvery indumentum, the older ones smooth, reddish-black.

- Leaves 1-foliolate or digitately 2–3-foliolate, often clustered on short shoots; stipules triangular with scarious margins; petiole up to 2 mm. long; leaflets cuneate-obovate, up to 6 mm. long, appressed strigulose on both surfaces.
