Biogeografic region: Amazonia, Guiana Shield, Orinoquia. Elevation range: 10–900 m a.s.l. Native to Colombia. Colombian departments: Amazonas, Caquetá, Guaviare, Meta, Putumayo, Vaupés, Vichada.
