Morphology General Habit
Plants often gregarious, 80–160 cm high.
Vegetative Multiplication Rhizomes
Rhizome horizontal, thick, regularly constricted, up to 6 cm long.

Leaves many, in basal rosette, linear to lanceolate, 30–54 × 1–4.5 cm, attenuate from upper half, membranous, margins slightly undulate.
