Morphology General Habit
Tree up to 15(–20) m. tall; crown often with a browse-line produced by giraffe; bark with pronounced vertical fissures.

Leaves up to 35 cm. long, less divided than in M. azedarach; leaflets nearly always entire (rarely a few leaflets have a single basal lobe or a few shallow teeth).
