- Annual. Culms slender; 3-7 cm long. Leaf-sheaths glabrous on surface. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 0.7-1.7 mm long. Leaf-blades ascending; involute; 1-4 cm long; 1-2 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface smooth; glabrous. Leaf-blade apex acute.
