General Description

Terrestre, de 20 à 30 cm., à racines blanches, épaisses et charnues; pseudobulbes étroitement fusiformes, de 7-9 cm. de long, à 2-3 feuilles persistantes, le plus récent (le florigère) plus ou moins développé au moment de la floraison. Feuilles ovales-lancéolées (3,5-8 x 1,5-2,5 cm.), aiguës, atténuées aux deux bouts et longuement (2-3,5 cm.) pétiolées, articulées un peu au-dessus de la base. Hampe grêle, presque 2 fois plus longue que le pseudobulbe et ses feuilles; pédoncule 2 à 3 fois plus long que la grappe, portant 3-4 gaines courtes et distantes; grappe de 5-10 cm., à 10-15 fleurs lâchement disposées; bractées étroitement lancéolées, aiguës, de 3 mm. environ; fleurs glabres de 1 cm. environ. Sépales lancéolés aigus (8x2 mm.), à nervures indistinctes. Pétales semblables aux sépales, mais un peu plus larges. Labelle presque obovale, de 8 mm. de long, large de 6 man. au milieu, trilobé vers le sommet, orné sur le palais de 3 carènes papilleuses; lobes latéraux obsolètes et obtus; lobe médian suborbiculaire (5 mm. diam. env.), à bords ondules-plisses; eperon court (4 mm.), subcylindrique et obtus. Colonne haute de 5 mm; bord postérieur du clinandre épais et saillant de 1 mm. Anthère petite (0 mm. 6 diam.), portant en arrière un appendice subrectangulaire, épais et haut de 1 mm.; pollinies semi-ovales sessiles sur un large rétinacle terminé avant en grand arc entourant la fosse stigmatique. Ovaire (y compris le pédicelle grêle) de 11-12 mm. de long.
