The native range of this species is Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Island Margarita, Colombia to N. Venezuela. It is a succulent perennial and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome. It is used to treat unspecified medicinal disorders, as a medicine and for food.
