Morphology General Habit
An epiphytic or rarely lithophytic herb, 11.5–28.5 cm. high.

Pseudobulbs spaced on an ascending rhizome, narrowly conical, 3–8 cm. long, 2–6 mm. in diameter, clothed in 3–4 loose basal sheaths.

Leaf lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute, cuneate below, 7.5–15.5 cm. long, 1.1–2.3 cm. broad, coriaceous, articulated 2–6 mm. above the pseudobulb apex.

Inflorescence shorter or longer than the leaf, a simple raceme, 3.5–15 cm. long, up to 11 flowers borne in succession; peduncle slender, 2.4–12.7 cm. long, with a membranous basal sheath; bracts triangular to obovate, amplexicaul, ± acuminate, 3–7 mm. long.

Habitat
Montane forest in doleritic areas, recorded as epiphytic on Rapanea, on tree heathers and on rocks; 2600–3300 m.
