Morphology General Habit
An epiphytic or rarely terrestrial herb, 12–31 cm. high.

Pseudobulbs loosely clustered, from a creeping rhizome, cylindric, 4.5–10 cm. long, 1.5–5 mm. in diameter articulated in basal half, clothed in 3–4 membranaceous sheaths.

Leaf ovate to lanceolate, obtuse, cuneate at base, 11.5–21 cm. long, 1.6–2.4 cm. broad, coriaceous, articulated 1–2 mm. above the pseudobulb apex.

Inflorescence mostly shorter than the leaf, pubescent, a simple or rarely once branched raceme, 3–18 cm. long, up to 8 flowers borne successively; peduncle stout, 1.2–7.8 cm. long, with a membranous basal sheath; bracts ovate-triangular, acuminate, amplexicaul, 3–7 mm. long.
