Morphology General Habit
Bulbous herb; bulb 1.5–3 cm wide, covered in a brownish tunic with a neck 2.5–3 cm long.

Leaves 2–3, appearing after the flowers, linear, up to 10 × 0.1 cm.

Scape 15–27 cm long, deep glaucous-green except for vermillion base.
