Leaf-blades oblong to obovate, 16.5–30 cm. long, 5–12 cm. wide, apex acuminate, base acute, papery, often with the tertiary nerves turning blue-black on drying, glabrous above, glabrous or with a puberulous midrib beneath; bacterial nodules dot-shaped or linear, along nerves and a few scattered; petioles 1.5–3 cm. long, glabrous or puberulous; stipule-limbs subtruncate to triangular, 0.2–2 cm. long, apex acute or subulate, often corky around the margin, puberulous or glabrous outside.
