Morphology General Habit
Shrub to 4 m. (erect and very divaricately branched fide Robyns); branches densely spreading yellowish pubescent when young but later glabrous, very dull purplish brown.

Leaf-blades oblong, 2.5–8.5 cm. long, 1–3.5 cm. wide, acuminate at the apex, cuneate to rounded at the base, densely shortly adpressed yellowish pubescent on both surfaces; petiole ± 2 mm. long; stipules 1[–2.5 mm.] long, pubescent outside, densely hairy inside, brownish membranous, with pubescent subulate appendage 1–4 mm. long.
