Upper leaf surface sparsely pubescent, midrib puberulent; all nerves impressed; lower leaf surface sparsely appressed-pubescent, especially on midrib; all nerves raised, the tertiary reticulation conspicuous; venation with lateral nerves well spaced, curved towards the leaf apex. Leaves moderately coriaceous, drying glossy dark brown above and mat brown below, often with apex deflexed so that the leaf will not lie flat; petiole 18–25 mm. long; lamina 7–12 x 3–6 cm., ovate to oblong-elliptic, the apex acuminate or cuspidate-acuminate, the base rounded or acuminate.
