Annual. Culms decumbent; 20-40 cm long. Culm-nodes bearded. Leaf-sheaths hirsute; with tubercle-based hairs. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaf-blade base broadly rounded. Leaf-blades lanceolate; 3-5 cm long; 8-10 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface pilose; hairy on both sides; with tubercle-based hairs. Leaf-blade margins cartilaginous. Leaf-blade apex acuminate.
