Morphology General Habit
Climber; stem yellowish (on drying), furrowed longitudinally, glabrous; young branches striate; spines on main branches and branchlets straight, 3– 8 mm long, broader at the base.

Cladodes in fascicles of 4– 8, linear to falcate, 6– 15× ± 1 mm, acute at the apex, narrowing towards the base.

Inflorescence simple, 1.5– 2.5 cm long; bracts ovate, 1× 1 mm; pedicels 1– 1.5 mm long, articulated just below the perianth.

Tepals white to cream, 2– 3× 1 mm; stamens shorter than the perianth, ± 2 mm long including anthers; anthers orange; ovary 3-locular with 4 ovules in each locule; style ± 0.5 mm long including stigma, 3-branched.
