Note
The available material is very uniform. B. albomarginata is similar to B. ilicifolia, but differs in the greenish young stems with spreading hairs and in the very short lateral spines on the bracteoles. It is also similar to B. dentata in the spiny leaves, but differs by having scarious outer calyx-lobes and single flowers in upper leaf-axils.
