Leaf-sheath auricles erect. Ligule a ciliolate membrane. Leaf-blade base with a false petiole. Leaf-blades persistent; lanceolate; 25-50 cm long; 20-35 mm wide; coriaceous. Leaf-blade surface pubescent; hairy abaxially. Leaf-blade margins scabrous.
