Diagnostic
Has been cultivated in Mombasa and at the Grasslands Research Station, Kitale (28 Sept. 1959, Bogdan 4898) presumably as a grass-like ground-cover; it is very similar to P. nodiflora but differs in the abaxially less lobed calyx, longer corolla-tube, 2.5 mm. long, much exceeding the bracts and the corolla-limb 2.5–3 mm. in diameter.
