Morphology General Habit
An evergreen much-branched bush or tree or a climbing or scandent bush, 3–12 m. tall; final branches terete, whitish-grey, with numerous prominent lenticels, glabrous.

Leaves with blades narrowly elliptic to elliptic or narrowly obovate-elliptic, acute more or less abruptly acuminate, cuneate at base, 3.5–18 cm. long, 1.1–7 cm. broad, lateral veins at angles 45°–80° with the midrib and, like this, prominent on the lower surface, anastomosing near the margins, glabrous on both surfaces except for tufts of hairs in the angles of the main veins on the lower surface; petiole 2–6 mm. long, stout.
