Scrambling shrubby herb forming dense bushes to 2 m tall; stems on upper nodes with two thin lines of puberulous hairs

Leaves with petiole of stem-leaves 3–5 cm long; lamina of stem-leaves ovate, largest ± 14 × 6.5 cm, apex acuminate, base subcordate or cordate with sinus to 3 mm deep, margin crenate-dentate, puberulous along midrib on both sides and with distinct domatia in axils of main veins beneath, otherwise glabrous
