- General Description
- Spathe-limb interior deep-purple or maroon, very rarely mid-brown; spadix-appendix deep to mid-purple, rarely brown, dirty orange or yellow.
- Phenology
- Flowering early May to late June, often flowering into July in cultivation.
- Habitat
- Rocky hillsides, amongst Quercus scrub, margins of C edrus forest, open montane pasture.
- Distribution
- Greece (Lesbos), Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Belorussia.
