Biogeografic region: Amazonia, Pacific. Elevation range: 0–400 m a.s.l. Native to Colombia. Colombian departments: Amazonas, Antioquia, Caquetá, Cauca, Chocó, Guaviare, Nariño, Putumayo, Valle del Cauca.
