Perennial; caespitose. Culms 40 cm long. Culm-internodes distally pubescent. Culm-nodes pubescent. Leaf-sheaths mostly shorter than adjacent culm internode; pubescent. Ligule an eciliate membrane. Leaf-blades 7 cm long; 1-2 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface pubescent; hairy adaxially.
