Morphology General Habit
Perennial with a similar habit and general appearance to T. welwitschii but differing in having broader lanceolate-oblong stipules c. 8 × 5 mm.; stems and lower surfaces of leaves with a dense spreading golden-yellow tomentum and the upper surfaces dark green becoming bronzed when dry.
Morphology Leaves
Leaves on the whole larger than in T. welwitschii, i.e. up to 11 × 6 cm., more prominently veined and with densely crenate-serrate margins.
