Morphology General Habit
Annual; caespitose; clumped loosely. Culms 25-50 cm long; 2-4 -noded. Leaf-sheaths smooth; glabrous on surface. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 4-7 mm long; acuminate. Leaf-blades flat, or conduplicate; 5-10 cm long; 1 mm wide.

Inflorescence a panicle. Panicle open; ovate; nodding; 5-20 cm long. Primary panicle branches 2-3 -nate. Panicle branches capillary. Spikelets solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled. Pedicels scabrous.
