Upper leaf surface glossy, glabrous except for the hispidulous midrib, midrib deeply impressed, lateral nerves faintly so, tertiary reticulation obscure; lower leaf surface mat, lamina with very sparse scattered hairs, midrib hispidulous; midrib and lateral nerves prominent, reticulation inconspicuous; lamina with irregularly scattered glandular dots, or these sometimes absent. Lateral nerves 7–9-paired. Leaves coriaceous, characteristically yellowish-green; petiole 2–6 mm. long, pubescent; lamina 4·5–8·5 x 0·8–4 cm., elliptic, obovate-elliptic or oblong-elliptic, the apex cuspidate to a well-marked short to moderately long acumen with apex rounded to acute, the base cuneate to obtuse.
